PROFILE
A native San Diegan, Creela began her love of art as a teenager. However, as with many women, because of marriage, children and a successful business career, her artistic endeavors were postponed for a while. In 1990, Creela, with determination and full time attention to the study of art, picked up her brush and paints to pursue her dreams. Although well versed in many media, she prefers oils. She paints realistic work, with attention to detail and color. She loves to create drama, by controlling the light source of the composition. In her paintings she wishes to show the viewer the beauty of the every day objects used in her still lifes. An award winning artists, Creela is a member of the Foothills Art Association, where she received two Grumbacher Gold Medals and one Silver Medallion. She is a member and past president of the East County Art Association.
