PROFILE

 

     Benton Wahl, M.H.A., is a full-time contemporary painter who interprets the excitement of everyday beauty in a contemporary impressionistic style. His work has been described as energetic though relaxed, interpretive yet thought provoking, and realistic yet imaginative. Comments have been “beautiful”, “gorgeous”, and “exceptional”. He uses bold colors to create a feeling of visual euphoria.

     Paintings are either acrylics or mixed media on fine watercolor paper or stretched canvases.

     Wahl studied under the Cincinnati artists Robert Fabe and was a member of the Cincinnati Art Club before moving to California. He is presently a member of the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild, San Diego Senior Associated Artists, the Rancho Bernardo Art Guild, Gallery 23 of the Southwestern Artist Association, the San Diego Watercolor Society, and the San Diego Art Institute.
