PROFILE

I started making art when I was 19. It's an activity that is it's own reward, like lovemaking or surfing. I haven't been particularily successful at it, but it gives me a great feeling when I complete a piece I like. It wasn't until 1983 that I actually was able to support myself with my art activity, and that was in ceramics. By 1990 I earned my M.F.A. from U.C.L.A. Way back in 1974 I won a sculpture award in the Spring Membership Show at the Laguna Beach Art Museum. It's been downhill ever since. I showed my work fairly consistantly until 2000, mostly in group shows. But since then I've been languishing in obscurity. I never stopped making art though; because you know, it is it's own reward.
