PROFILE

With each pet creation that she paints, a little bit of San Diego watercolor specialist Sinclair Stratton’s soul flows on to the paper to swirl with the vibrant colors and light.

Sinclair was raised in San Diego County and taught herself to paint over a decade ago. Today, her mature skills and lifelong passion for animals have evolved into a fascinating, nationally recognized art career. Her watercolor creations capture the essence and beauty of the animals we love. Sinclair reaches inside herself to channel the amazing and powerful colors that blend beautifully with the personalities of the pets that she paints. Her creations are unique, inspiring, and represent the love that Sinclair has for the world.

Sinclair’s love of animals transcends portraiture – she actively supports numerous animal organizations and has made “giving back” a focus of her career. Some examples include: an exclusive and on-going partnership with the Feral Cat Coalition to donate a portion fro the sale of any Smidge painting or print. Sinclair’s own cat Smudge was feral and it’s a natural way for them to support an organization that helps reduce the number of feral and unwanted cats in our communities. Sinclair has donated a mural to the brand new San Diego Humane Society’s new state of the art building!
