PROFILE

Lou Smillie has been included in numerous national and international shows including the National Academy of Design, Audubon Artists, Salmagundi Club, all in New York City, Cambridge Art Association, Kentucky Watercolor Society, Watercolor West, and other regional oil and watercolor societies and associations, and she has received many awards. She is recognized for her compositions of architectural detail and architecture in landscape as well as florals and portraits in watercolor and oils. Her paintings, drawings and prints are included in many private collections.

Lou’s paintings appear nationally and internationally in approximately 20 exhibitions annually and in local group and solo exhibits on a monthly basis. Currently, her work is represented by The Mill Atelier Gallery in Santa Fe, NM.
