ARTIST’S STATEMENT

"I am a self taught artist. I ten to be intrigued and inspired by objects and designs that come from the past. As a result, my completed works usually reflect this, although there is definitely a synthesis of the past and present.

My medium is either gold, copper, and silver leafed wood, combined with steel and brass fasteners, as well as other various kinds of hardware. I enjoy utilizing hardware as a decorative element within my work that can sometimes also have a functional purpose as well. Whenever possible, I incorporate found objects or antiques into my design.

These objects were obviously intended for use as something else, experience a kind of reincarnation within my creative process to hopefully, in the end, manifest something that reflects integrity, uniqueness, and imagination."
