PROFILE

Grace Charlotte Schlesier’s work is inspired by the Impressionists and Early California painters. She has participated in over 70 major gallery and museum exhibits including the National and Regional Oil Painters of America, Salmagundi and Audubon and the American Artists Professional League in New York City. Her work also has been widely exhibited internationally, such as in the Biennale Internazionale Dell’Arte Contemporanea in Florence, Italy.

From her plein air work, now highly collectable, she often creates larger studio pieces. She states, “The challenge is always to carry the emotion felt while in the field over to the larger studio work.” Grace works in oil, which she states works best for her ands stays workable in almost all kinds of weather. She says, “My brush strokes are my words and my goal is to bring nature and a sense of peace in harmonious balance to the viewer.”
