Dale Steffen (sculptor/artist) resident of Rancho Santa Fe, CA, since 1976, was born and raised in Elgin, Illinois. Dale moved with his family to Solana Beach in 1974. His education ranges from architecture, construction and art.

Steffen has created works of art for over 18 years. Dale’s subjects are wild life/nature, creating “life like” realistic sculptures that bring out the essence of each species. To look at Steffen’s birds is to see the anatomical accuracy and feel the softness (do not touch) of the velvety feat5hers, realizing a true sense of balance, symmetry and color.

Ducks and birds are Dale’s specialty and favorite subjects. They hold within their feathers the miracle of life and color in patterns so complex the most detailed artist cannot begin to duplicate this beauty. His artwork strives to capture these outstanding features of God’s creative work. (Look at the birds of the air. Matt. 6:26)

Dale has created over 180 of these sculptures that have found their way into collectors homes across the country. President Bill Clinton the most notable collector has mallard (drake) duck #101.
