ARTIST’S STATEMENT

“A self taught artist, I began painting portraits and figures in watercolor in 1999. I also work in pastel. I enjoy mostly painting faces that emerge from my imagination. The faces that present themselves are a mystery to me, however they seem to reflect some part of myself.

My subjects range from the very old to the very young, and include all different ethnic groups. I also work form photographs of people in my life that I want to capture on paper.”

PROFILE

So far in her career she has been honored with numerous awards, had a one-person show, and has been in several national and local juried exhibitions. Her work has been sold to private collectors in parts of the United States and abroad.
