Ken Roberts has
been painting the landscapes of Southern California for over 18 years.
A San Diego native, Ken spent his youth hiking and camping in the desert
and mountains of San Diego’s backcountry. Ken has always appreciated
the works of the French impressionists, especially Pissaro, Monet and
Sisley. In the early 1980’s there was a resurgence of the early California
painters. Ken became inspired and began his pursuit as a landscape artist.
Plein Air Painting, the painting of outdoors, on location is the type
of painting Ken enjoys. Ken has exhibited widely throughout the region, his work is in innumerable collections and he has a major commissioned work in the Saint Rose Hospital in Henderson, Nevada. He is a member of the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild and the California Art Club. |
