ARTIST’S STATEMENT

“As an artist, I speak in terns of color, line, and shape. I paint from nature-from a source I find exiting. Then through omission, and selection, and emphasis of what I feel, I put down on paper a touch of the essence, a simplification. It is the way the sunlight radiates, or the way colors give a mood. It is natural phenomena and the fascinating shapes of things in relation to on another. I’m personally involved with the beauty and excitement of transparent watercolor, with the spontaneous and luminous glow that can be obtained through this media. I am presently exploring and seeking new ways to portray the vitality, spirit, and essence of what I see and feel”.
