PROFILE

Raye Anne moved to San Diego over 13 years ago and began to study art seriously with Spanish painter Sebastian Capella. She now serves as his assistant in his private art classes in La Jolla.

She is a bright talent who has developed a Bravura style of painting in bold and luminous colors. Each brushful of paint is laid on as pure and clean as if it were a mosaic, yielding award-winning portrait, flower and landscape paintings. Her work is characterized by bold, simple patterns of lights and darks, and paint applied with directness.

She is currently serving on the board of the La Jolla Art Association and is a member of the San Diego Portrait Society and the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild.
