ARTIST’S STATEMENT

“Painting is my passion. The excitement of spontaneous and improvisational ways of creating art never grows old. Using a variety of materials, I particularly enjoy acrylics, watercolor, inks, pastels, and collage. My joy in painting is greatest when using these tools in imaginative ways, perhaps evoking spiritual feelings and mysteries of endless time”.

PROFILE

Jackie Myers is a San Diegan who graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Art and Education. She was formerly a Middle School Art Teacher with San Diego City and County Schools.

Myers is an abstract artist who shows her works extensively in San Diego and has won numerous awards there and in other states. Her collectors are from various states as well as Australia.
