ARTIST’S STATEMENT

“My work reflects my life long pursuit of spiritual, psychological understanding of the natural world. Nature is close to my heart, giving interpretation in drawing and painting. I like the act of creating, getting lost in it, studying passing moments and going with the flow of imagination. Important to myself is time for reflection, observation and the effects of light, color and form.”

PROFILE

Gregory Maier was born in Philadelphia, PA. He studied art at the Community College of Philadelphia, Fleisher Art memorial, and the Museum School of San Francisco, with continued training in photography touring Mexico, the United States, and Canada. He has exhibited widely in San Diego and San Francisco. Gregory's objective is "to exhibit my paintings and drawings and to be acknowledged for my creative process. To further refine my craft and continue to explore reality and myself through my paintings and drawings."
