ARTIST’S STATEMENT

“My work is about Texture, Light, Object, and Personal Symbols. My painting expresses my love for intimacy with Life – Dream – Beauty – and Mysteries. Each painting enriched my personal universe.

During the all process of painting, I let my intuition being the guide. This ‘journey’ is paved with experimentation, transformation, discovery, struggle, joy, excitement, and surprise. For me the Quest is the journey, the adventure. My love for Oriental Art and Philosophy has influenced my work bringing often an Oriental feeling into it”.

PROFILE

Claire-Lise Matthey Anderegg was born and raised in Switzerland. She was educated at the School of Visual Art “Ceruleum” Lausanne, Switzerland Atelier “Martenot” Expesse, Switzerland. Presently, the artist lives and resides in San Diego since 1989. Her artistic skill has expanded and matured in this community. Her work has been featured in various group exhibitions and has won several awards, locally and around the country.
