ARTISTS STATEMENT

"When asked why I had become an artist, I answered, 'I had no other choice.' Feelings from within dictated that I give form and color to my thoughts, and these took the forms of drawings, paintings and the joys of design."

PROFILE

Barbara Madsen has exhibited her work widely throughout the United States and has won awards. She is a member of and exhibited with several notable art organizations: American Artists Professional League, New York; Audubon Artists, New York, Allied Artists Association of San Diego; San Diego Portrait Society; Oil Painters of America; North American Marine Art Society; and San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild.
