Barbara Millé from Cardiff by the Sea, CA found out she was an artist at a very young age. Since then creating art has held a special place for her through her life. She has a BA in Visual Arts from U.C.S.D. and graduated with honors.

Barbara is best known for her watercolor paintings of her hometown. She also paints abstracts and non-representational paintings, which she enters into juried shows. Her Studio/Gallery "Black Orchid" is in Encinitas and is a part of the 101 Artists Colony. Barbara displays her art and teaches from her studio there.

Her current interest is designing and making handmade jewelry from sterling silver wire. Her husband Loren makes her lamp work beads in his home studio.
