PROFILE
Alan F. Marblestone
is a retired attorney who commenced his artistic education in the early
1980’s. He attended the Butwin School of Art for one semester followed
by attending drawing and art classes at U.C.L.A. Extension Division
for the next two years. He subsequently
attended Larry Gluck’s Mission Renaissance School in West Los Angeles
for four years, being taught by William Martin. Thereafter for the next
three years he painted at the Martin-Strong Studio in West Los Angeles.
In 1995 he began painting in his own studio at his home in Carlsbad
until 1998, when he opened a studio in Carlsbad Village, where he currently
paints. Mr. Marblestone
paints mainly in the Old Masters’ style using their glazing techniques.
Mr. Marblestone’s
work has been shown annually in the California State Bar’s Art Exhibits
from 1988-2000. He has won two Best of Shows and innumerable first
place ribbons in Oil Representational. Mr. Marblestone has shown his
works in various juried exhibits including C.O.A.L. and the Del Mar
Fair Art Shows. |
