ARTIST’S STATEMENT

“I paint subject matter and technique according to how I feel. I paint Indian Art (Western) when I feel like doing something with my heritage. Being a Lumbee Indian from Robenson County in North Carolina.

I paint sports when I feel like doing something exiting with a lot of color and movement. I draw from my experiences from when I played professional baseball for ten years. Cincinnati Reds, N.Y. Yankees and San Diego Padres.

I paint North Carolina landscapes when I feel homesick for the farmland, which I grew up on.

I do contemporary art when I feel like using color without any detail, complete freedom.”
