Lee has won numerous awards, he has been "Artist of the Year" and "Featured Artist" at many of America's finest wildlife and nature art shows and has been honored with the "People's Choice" at some of the country's most celebrated art events.
Published by Wild Wings, in Lake City, Minnesota, Lee Kromschroeder has emerged as one of the most recognized and celebrated new artists of the wildlife genre. He is represented in some of the finest galleries, and his work is found in many private collections. He has always pushed the boundaries of art - never afraid to try new and controversial approaches to art and is a constant student of the old world masters. His peers admire his sharing of ideas and techniques and he is always ready to help any interested artist.
Over forty of his original paintings have been selected and published as limited edition prints. He has illustrated the covers of some of today's leading publications and his original paintings can be found in public and private collections throughout the country and the world.
Though he has established his reputation in wildlife, Lee's fine art subject matter also includes still life, landscapes, figurative, and portraits. He also teaches private art instruction classes.

A delightful personality to meet and engage, Lee is a consummate sports fan and enjoys following the fortunes of the San Diego area teams, including the Padres and Chargers. A rapt photographer, Lee Kromschroeder can often be found shooting sports for fun or collecting personal references for a new wildlife painting.
