ARTIST’S STATEMENT

“I strive to combine compelling shapes with vigorous and expressive brushwork. Together, they form a visual vocabulary that touches emotions. Shapes evoke thoughts and feelings – spirit. The marks of a painter’s tool make visible the physical energy around us – the world. Flowers burst with life, shadows weave, stones vibrate, mountains heave, and people seem to hurtle toward love, death and rebirth. In this way, painting gets to the core.”
