PROFILE

Perrietta Hester is a multi-faceted oil painter. Thirty years of teaching art in San Diego have developed her talent in a broad spectrum of content: portraiture, landscapes, wild life, and still life.

“Painting is the synthesis of observing and expressing” she claims, “if I can see it, I can paint it.”

She identifies with the Contemporary Traditionalist movement. Her work has been widely exhibited through out the region. Hester is the co-founder of the San Diego Portrait Society. She holds a M.A. from San Diego State University and is listed in Who’s Who in American Women. She affiliates with the California Art Club and the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild.
