ARTIST’S STATEMENT

 
     “Unusual, dreamy paintings which draw the viewer into the microscopic world, outer space, and unexpected views of our everyday surroundings.”

PROFILE

 

     Christy began painting in 1998, after completing her undergraduate studies at Humboldt State University in Northern California. In 1992, she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. In 1995, she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences and International Communications.

     Christy has shown her work in many places in San Diego, La Jolla, La Costa and Del Mar, including galleries, art shows, libraries, and places of business. Christy was also featured as “Artist of the Month” in a San Diego Magazine and in other articles in the San Diego area, Grass Valley, Colorado and the Seattle, Washington area.

     Her painting “Whispers On A Golden Wind” won 2^nd Place - People’s Choice at the 2001 La Jolla Annual Membership Awards Show.  She has also done several commissions, including two for scientists in the MENSA group.

     She now has collectors all over California, and in Colorado, Maryland, Ohio, Wisconsin, Virginia, North Carolina and Australia, Germany and the Sultanate of Oman.
