ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My three-dimensional wall décor is created by combining fabric, textured paper, wood, metal, and/or acrylic media. The work provides me an opportunity to fashion art with structure and depth, utilizing fabric and textured paper as my palette. The technique employs ambient light to create natural shadows, enhancing the three-dimensional ebb and flow of my pieces. A host of intricate inter-related structures and patterns are achieved by positioning fabric, texture, and relief forms, specifically designed to blend with and create a unique spatial ambiance, one that is soothing and elegant.”

PROFILE

“I was born in New Jersey, and raised in Queens, New York. I graduated from Pratt Institute, N.Y. (B.S.) and New Jersey Institute of Technology (M.S.). For several tears I had been developing a unique art form, and dreamt of developing it into a career. After spending over 30 years in the business world, I took early retirement, and in 1998 focused on my artwork full time.
