ARTIST’S STATEMENT

“The cat has appeared as an image in my work for some time now. But my paintings aren’t about cats. They are anthropomorphic figures expressing the interactions between concrete reality and the subconscious mind. The body language of cats serves me because of the eloquence and variety of shapes possible within a universal space.”
