PROFILE

A native of Oklahoma, Maxine Custer calls Southern California her home. Wife, mother, and former businesswoman, she now devotes full time to her art. Maxine is primarily a Watermedia Artist working with acrylic, collage, and monoprints. She is known for her colorful art, both abstract and figurative.

Maxine is a member of the San Diego Watercolor Society, the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild, and a signature member of the Western Federation Society where she has won many awards in juried shows. She is published in several books, including Best of Watercolor and recently in American Artist Winter Issue 2001. She is represented at Gallery on Glassell in Orange, CA and teaches Acrylic Art at the Oceanside Museum of Art.
