ARTIST’S STATEMENT

”I consider myself to be a visual scientist, relentlessly exploring as many forms of artistic expression as possible. I have created two-dimensional works, yet we live in a three-dimensional world and thru my sculptures I am exploring this exciting world. It takes a more sophisticated eye to understand the need to fill a three-dimensional space, though for the artist and the collector they can envision the art together in a unique way.

     My work has an organic feel, yey mystery and elegance interweave throughout swirl paterns are always reflected in every unique piece, this pattern symbolizes energy, the work is static yet alive and responsive to the eye, every detail takes time to absorb.

If the ideas exist before me or in my mind, it is the passion to create that transforms into something that can be seen and touched, forged from the spark of the creative mind.

I create Metal Sculpture, primarily from copper, anodized metals, and glass. The work is crafted and designed to be placed in an interior or exterior space. The wall hangings are designed with thru pin construction to ensure strength of frame and welds. These peieces are created using space frame design, which allows the wall color to show through.

My current work is inspired from organic shapes, yet takes form in fantasy or an off-world shape, where all is possible. Current designs also include a series of whimsical works that are fun, colorful and visually stimulating. If my art creates a sense of curiosity, or evokes any emotion, then that which I have created exists with it’s own life.”

PROFILE

Charles Bronson, a native Californian received his B.A. in graphic arts. For the last twenty years he has worked in computer design and engineering for the sign industry – conceptual design, engineering and CAD/CAM programming, specializing in casino signage, corporate I.D., and the entertainment industry. His clients have included: Paris Casino, Las Vegas, Palms Casino, Las Vegas, NASDAC Building, New York City, Walt Disney: Euro Disney, Japan Disney, California Disney stores 42^nd St. and 52^nd St. New York, and Disney Engineering Group, Universal Studios, California, and Universal Studios City Walk.
